these niggas flirting with each other
I've been watching the wire recently
U saw that? Do you think drake likes the wire ?
Are you guys expecting any the wire inspiration to be heard on Iceman
It’s raining back home.
Might have to light up the tower for this one
And there’s a big market for that! Just don’t act like it’s some quality lasting music ya know.
Facts.
Stupid post.
Dark Lane Demo Tapes - 14 songs.
Honestly, Nevermind - 14 songs.
Her Loss - 16 songs.
Y'all just come on here and yap rubbish. Drake has always made long projects, dating back to his first mixtapes, but he's also always had shorter, more concise projects in his discography.
Thank Me Later has 14 songs. Nothing Was the Same has 13 songs. WATTBA has 11 songs. Like what are we doing here?
Get a life dog you act like you’re personally friends with Drake. I’m entitled to my opinion.

In here defending an album with “right foot up” on it.
The same culture that has spent the last year saying that Drake isn’t in the culture. Why would he be worried about making a project that appeals to them?

Yall can hate rap fans or "the culture" or whatever you wanna call it
But drake needs a unanimous rap classic right now, not something a few dudes online irrationally love
I think he's capable, but only time will tell
Honestly, I’m not even sure he is capable at this point.
He’s clearly got brain rot and has likely surrounded himself with sycophants who’ll never give it to him straight, a la Kanye.

You have a right to have a opinion and I have a right to present facts that render that opinion stupid.
You said, and I quote:
It’s very clear that Drake has been focusing on the numbers with bloated projects for streaming. He doesn’t seem interested in presenting a concise and cohesive body of work.
All I did was show you that there are multiple instances in this decade alone where Drake has delivered concise and cohesive bodies of work (3 separate instances, to be precise) as well as inform you that he has always made really long projects but also that he has just as many concise, cohesive projects as he does projects that have extensive run-times.

I said “Has been focusing” and you’re referring to albums made over a decade ago. Do you dawg
Niggas been telling Drake he needs to drop an album "the culture" deems a classic for over a decade now. The same culture that believes every Drake project in the last 10 years is absolute dogshit trash is still checking for what he's got going on. Why? Didn't y'all spend the last 16 months insisting he is in fact NOT a part of said culture?
Y'all don't get to have it both ways. We accept that Drake ain't a part of "the culture" like y'all have said so many times so y'all can take those ridiculous expectations and shove it up your asses

Well, damn, my bad. I had no idea Dark Lane Demo Tapes, Honestly, Nevermind and Her Loss were from over a decade ago.
Drake has dropped 6 projects this decade: 3 with no more than 16 songs and 3 with at least 21 songs but yeah, the criticism is that he's "focusing" on making really long projects (something he's always done) simply to boost his streaming numbers and you wonder why I always just skip to calling y'all idiots
I don't even know why known Drake haters are camped out in a thread made in anticipation of his next album but then again, most of y'all are mentally ill so there's always that.

You specifically cited TML, NWTS, WATTBA. All over 10 years old.
You seem very triggered over some basic discourse. Makes me think you don’t have much going on in your life. It’s not that serious man.

People arguing for less music always been the dumbest argument I've ever heard lol

And you seem to not be able to read. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Why do y’all act like restraint isn’t a part of the creative process?
Would you listen to a 75+ song album?
Would you watch an 8-hour film?

It's not an entirely ridiculous argument but people seem to think that the shorter an album is, the better it automatically becomes and that couldn't be more wrong.
There are dozens of short and concise albums that don't leave a lasting impression on listeners and then there are some that do. They should instead spend more time hoping that regardless of if an album is short or not, there are enough highlights and standout moments that make the album a worthwhile listening experience and something they can keep coming back to.
