feel like they're doing clean up and prob gon fight it. wonder what even happens whether they settle the $$$ to him for damage caused or is the deal the reward? or both? the possibility IMO of UMG giving him settlement money anywhere near what Mal said in that EYL episode is 0.000000001%. He is not gon get $2b from them. But I could see like a $700m contract + $200m in damages type of deal but atp who knows

his lawyer the type of lawyer that UMG knows themselves if they go to trial they better be strapped up cause the judge gon respect his lawyer just off that track record. Im not sayin beating UMG gon be easy but I just feel Drake from as early as Family Matters has collected so much data, evidence, witnesses on his side on the low that they're strapped up already.

Right now it's a pre action filing, so if it's denied they will likely regroup and file a differently worded or maybe even alleged complaint.. any potential settlement would likely only happen after the filing of an actual complaint.. the acceptance/denial of the pre action discovery request will be huge, as, imho, that's what he mainly wants (receipts)
