Also, this is like the first gen since gen IV that I'm coming in completely spoiler-free, I basically haven't seen any of the new Pokemon except the ones in the trailers and promo images, no evos, pseudolegendaries, regional forms, etc. I want to have the same experience as I had when I was a kid playing FireRed or Ruby on my GBA SP, no looking s*** up on the Internet, figuring out how to evolve Pokemon and building various teams

For the past like five gens, I always checked for leaks and spoilers on Reddit and Serebii and decided on my team before the game even released, but not this time

Pro strat is to use a quick ball and if it fails, run from the battle and they won’t dissapear, just engage again, quick ball, repeat, etc

this gen seems to have so many comp ready pokemon feels like the most diverse gen in a minute far as options of viable pokemon you could rock out with

I've been trying my best to avoid story spoilers but one I wasn't able to avoid was the professor being the big baddie wouldn't going to Arven lead to that, or does that happen in another story? I'm super underleveled for that battle as it stands.

I'm happy with my current team and it's the one I want to beat the league with.

Idk I’ve always used Serebii as my go to , I didn’t see anything mentioned like that, and I don’t really care much about Pokémon story in the modern age. But I haven’t beat arven yet myself to unlock area zero to see.
