From my understanding yeah, they pretty much have the senior staff working on other games and the junior and newbies work on Pokemon. Masuda mostly work as a consultant/supervisor now for remakes. He doesn't do the work at all anymore. He's not even an overseer. He do those non-canon Pokemon games now too.

They need leadership badly on these games as Ohmori seems like he's just a yes man to The Pokemon Company. It's hilarious as when Masuda was heavily involved there was an emphasis on no DLC or any of the other stuff GF does now. Like he was adamant on Pokemon never ever having DLC. Soon as he step aside full time we got paid DLC and no post game content lol.

Yeah the game doesn't look good at all. It's the gameplay loop that make it fun.

But this video is more tame than the actual game. Daytime in the game make everything look AWFUL and flicker. Like poke balls don't even fall to the ground when you throw it at Pokemon. Just hoover where ever the pokemon was.

Are you sure youre updated to the recent patches? Iv been looking out for this in gameplay iv seen from someone playing on the latest patch and i dont see this at all

Yes. 1.0.1. it was not performance patch. They just buffed and nerfed some pokemon. Reviews are even saying it's performance issues. The game is fun, but it definitely has its issues mainly in that department.

You also have to remember some people are playing on modded hardware that will mod the game giving it that HD look. Taking away sight lines and smoothing textures. They did this with S/S and the 3DS games. It's other people in this thread that played it and said the game just doesn't look good it's fun as hell, but it looks terrible especially docked.
