Yikes Greninja is probably the best designed starter since Blastoise lmao. Not only did they capture the theme of Greninja being the ninja from RPG, they gave it a bad ass shiny, decent stats and movepool, two great hidden abilities, it's design is a great gender neutral design as well. Its the only one that captures the RPG elements they were going for. On the other hand.....

Primarina might be the worst designed and concept starter ever. They made a very feminine design for a pokemon that has a 70% chance of being male, terrible ability, terrible, meh movepool, great type combination, ugly shiny, they had Poppleo be the clown of the trio and then had it become a singer?!? Which breaks the concept they were going for with poppleo.

I will never understand why people keep trying to be contrarians. Greninja was popular before it even appeared in the anime. Froakie alone is a dope ass design with it and frogadier designs being based on thieves(another RPG archetype) and ninjas.
