gen 5 i only dislike the pig line but its first stage is cool, other 2 dope
gen 6 i only like the frog n its middle, greninja is ok (chespin is the worst line of all time), but fenniken first stage is cool but i hate its evos. its the only gen i ever boxed my starter first plaaythru tho lmao greninja disappointed me a lot originally. one of the reasons (among others) its the worst overall gen (not counting ORAS) imo even tho Mega is super cool.
gen 7 i only like the bird as first n final, incine is ok (i love torra n litten) & the water is ok except its first stage i dont like.
gen 8 i like sobble and grookey but hate scorbuny and its whole line (2nd worst to me so far), i only like grookeys final while the waters one is ok
gen 9 i like first stage fire, dont like its middle, love its final best since gen 5. grass first stage n middle stage are also good, but that final has to be the worst final evo oat it doesnt even look finished lmao. i dont like the duck at all, its evos i dislike too but i dont hate it.
Greninja is one of the best starters of all time lmao wtf it even has one of the most broken abilities and it's own form change into the even more broken Ash Greninja.
Scorbunny dead ass the most disappointing starter Evo design of all time. First stage is GOATed then comes the second and even worst cinderace with it's stitched together ears.
