Yeah I haven’t made it that far yet but I’m having fun with it. Definitely an improvement over Sword. It’s worth the cop in my honest opinion.

I'm playing unbound again from scratch and man all the changes that were done in 2.0. The game looks amazing.

Absolutely not doing those ruins puzzles again.

I turned off the puzzles. I didn't feel like it. Like I said before, what Rom devs need to realize is Too Difficult =/= Fun. Some of the puzzles, grinding, and battles were just too unbearable at times. Like I remember one battle made me put the game down for at least a month.

But I'm loving all the improvements. Improved graphics, some characters have been redesigned, better UI, more Pokemon, etc.

See I didn’t even know you could do that. Seems like they added some new toggles with the update too in addition to what you said so yeah I’ll definitely be checking this out asap.

I agree I feel like the kaizo, nuzlocke, etc challenge communities got a hold on the romhacking scene and never let go, I mean I get it for sure given how easy some of these vanilla games are, but sometimes I’m looking for something a bit more creative. A lot of these hacks lack the charm of their originals. Polished Crystal the GOAT though.

Yep, not everybody wants a nuzlocke. I don't play Pokemon games to make me rage or want to give up. Just give me a game that throws in some battles where I have to think, but not mindless press A or have to spend hours grinding up a legitimate team because a boss battle is way to luck based. Polished Crystal is literally my favorite rom hack ever. The creator of that hack and Red++ did an amazing job putting a spin on those games. Added challenges and fixed issues with the original games.

See I never finished prism. I played it when it first came out and put it down because Sun and Moom released the same week. Might have to give it another go seeing as most of the GBC rom hacks now are building off of what Prism started.

BDSP may not be perfect games, but goddamn does it have a ton of content. I didn't even know that they add that you battle Lucas/Dawn in the post game. Almost got my ass beat too.
