Pokemon Colosseum/XD didn't sell well. They're not going to revisit spin off games that don't sell well. That's why Pokemon Rangers has been dormant since its last game, Pokemon Conquest, etc. Mystery Dungeon is really the only side game that sells decent. TPCi is about money, not what fans want. It sucks, I know, I would love a Pokemon Colosseum successor. But with them selling poorly and Pokemon main series being on home console now, it's no need for those games anymore.

gotta be honest i loved Coliseum but i wouldnt ever have the time to care about a new one and idk if Pokemon wants to sell 3D turn based battling to kids now as much as they did when were kids and the concept was fresh

at least New Pokemon Snap has a collection mechanic, that's probably the only way to sell a new TCG videogame, Stadium or Coliseum tbh

I don't think the base game is indicative of the DLC (besides the game mechanics). Everything I heard about the DLC was great beside the fact that you have to pay another $30 for the complete game

I wouldn't say they're great. Isle of Armor is a collect-a-thon and crown tundra improves on it, Crown Tundra story just sucks and make no sense.

Colosseum/XD/Stadium niche was that they're on home console. Now that the games are on home console they no longer are needed. On top of they didn't sell well. The window for those games closed the moment the main series games moved to Switch lol

i don't really care about pokemon stories in the mainline series besides remakes for nostalgia fr. I think i ever focused on gen 4's story.

at this point to me pokemon is just pick a starter, earn gym badges explore the new region, prioritize capturing new gen pokes and beat the elite 4 and then post game. Story just some kid filler bs.

Already setting my expectations sky high but we about to get Sinjoh Ruins lore and a Johto postgame.

My point is, the main purpose of the DLC IS the story. Besides that it's not really much to do besides the collect-a-thon(Find 100 alolan Diglett, etc). The crown tundra fixed this by adding the Regis and birds to catch. The other stuff for example, the raids, the DLC isn't needed. Besides that, it's nothing else to do. The DLC priorize the story over anything else and both aren't really good. That's why it's not worth $30.

I loved the hawaii theme frl, its in my top 3 regions.

The Ultra games aren't slept on. They're not bad but they're not good either. They removed the story elements that made Sun and Moon likeable and didn't really improve on anything except some graphics. The game felt boring. This may change as I go back and reply it later this year.
