Idk, I think Legends will be its own thing if it's successful. I don't think they'll abandon the main series style just yet. GF does weird stuff.
True & i agree.
If Legends does have its own separate comp online it will be v interesting.
Hope Home transfer compatibility between sw/sh n Legends is at least a thing tho.
For me colors didn’t really pop in sw/sh and the textures were weird. LGPE and These dp remakes look better IMO.
Legends looks good too
Ya I think they just tried to make it gloomy like how the UK is, the game was cozy af though but ik it’s still targeted at children so i guess they’re never gonna go too crazy in terms of pushing the graphics and world
i need more from New Pokemon Snap
they teased them desert and underwater levels but showed us NOOOOTHING more
ueghhh
Looks interesting
its literally what u described except its just gen 4 in the past doing its own thing.
But i feel u, i do think its weird how they did actual gen 4.
imagine hating on Sword and Shield's visuals just to be hyper about Gen 4 remakes
game looks like Harvest Moon on Gamecube
I’ll never understand SwSh hate I have 200 hours in it and generally enjoyed tf out of it
True & i agree.

I dont know if competitive online would work on this game. I feel like many abilities and general conventions will be ditched, im thinking that bdsp will focus on the competitive side. What i do think is that legends will have online co-op

I guess I expected more from actual gen 4 remake I was super confused when I saw the trailer cuz I was really anticipating them to go all out but adversely it makes me believe the arceus game is gonna be a huuuuge innovative leap

The Serebii dude reported that it was single player. Hopefully he’s wrong. Game looks too good to not have any online connectivity
Have you seen Cynthia
all jokes
LMFAO
i see u
i meant like the entire umbrella and idea of Pokemon lmaooo just a deep obsession i guess
not me tho lmao im aware these are kids games
imagine hating on Sword and Shield's visuals just to be hyper about Gen 4 remakes

HM a Wonderful Life a bertified blassic

Agreed.
They are def putting all their effort n money into Legends atm.

yeah but we in 2021 and this is Pokemon
literally the most successful media franchise on the planet
and the art style looks fan made
i expected something i havent seen or something like Lets Go or Sw/Sh
but instead Gen 4 looks like if you put Pokemon in the dryer instead of hanging it up
all shrunken and the colors are running
imagine hating on Sword and Shield's visuals just to be hyper about Gen 4 remakes
game looks like Harvest Moon on Gamecube
Eh it just doesn’t look that good to me. They were too lazy to even add proper backgrounds for battles

the Pokemon sprites and animations look 10x worse than Sw/Sh ever did
wtf

They did ditch items for Let's Go comp & limited the abilities for it as well, so i wouldnt be surprised if it is its own thing then they do a similar situation like that, or retool it just for Legends. I wouldnt think Legends would have any comp if it wasnt for how LG switched it up & still had it.
But true, co-op would be fire too if thats how they do multiplayer. They already planted the seed in let's go & the wild areas.

I think it'll definitely be a thing. It probably won't be right away, but I know it will have compatibility.
Yeah I agree that would be a really interesting competitive scene.

The shading looks a little nicer just judging by the trailer tbh.
If they add the BF, and an expansive dex to complete after you beat the elite 4, and a new post game area then I’d put it above sw/sh easily
Speaking of art style, i think Lets Go has the best art style & graphics out of all of the mains so far.
Just sucks all the Go mechanics stuff shoved in there, but the fidelity, style & pokemon ride-like feature makes it top tier in that department imo.
Only Snap 2 is beating it in terms of graphic fidelity & style to me. So far.
I like Gen 4 remakes because I understand what they're going for. Sword and Shield doesn't look good. It doesn't look good as a Pokemon game and it doesn't look good as a 3D game. Especially compared to it's contemporaries on the console.
The chibi style looks goofy as hell, but I love the throw back top down style, it feels nostalgic. It feels like a remaster and not a game with some bullshit. It looks goofy as hell, but I dig it. This is my preference. You can dislike it by all means.
I wasn't one of those Pokemon fans wanting Pokemon in 3D. I knew after XY it's just not GF's style. Now I love legends, it looks great, but the game has some awful issues right now. I need to see a bit more to get what's going on and won't be negative to it. Like I said if they don't fix that 1FPS Chingling it's getting roosted.
I hope they go back to the top down view. I don't like how current Pokemon is. The bar is set so low that anything different from Sword and Shield will excite me.

Visually Gen 6 was alright, I feel like 5th Gen was perfect in its mix of 2d and 3d. I wish they put the Ruby Sapphire remakes in 5th gen, imagine Hoenn in that visual style

Gen 6 looks great, but like all the 3D era games they have awful performance issues. Gen V like you said was the PERFECT combination of 2 and 3D. The 2.5D style is where Pokemon should have stayed and then had battles be more sorta 3D-ish.
Gen V my favorite artstyle
