from what i've gathered:

game is 8 at best for casual pokemon fans and rpg game fans

game is a 6.5 if you really hate the lack of Pokemon

game is a 6 if you hate the lack of Pokemon AND expected BOTW art-style and graphics

honestly this, last main game i completed the dex was platinum (i did in lets go eevee but not counting it as main) every since then i only caught all the new mons cause i caught the 480 something so many times already

that reminds me, another reason i fw gen 5 so much cause in the first B&W you could ONLY use new pkmn until you beat the main game

Pokémon SWSH is a 10/10 for competitive gaming

I love max raids, exp candies and nature changing. It’s great for breeding and ev/iv training.

We are just gonna have to disagree on that one. Gen 1,2,3,6, and 7 are all in my top 50 games of all time so to me I actually do think they are 9.5s or better.

I skipped Gen 5 but it’s probably a 9.5 too

Pokémon should legit be BOTW with Pokémon in the overworld and random extra tall grass areas with random encounters.

The town areas should be 3D as well.

That’s one of my biggest disappointments with this game, that the town areas aren’t fully 3D.

encounters should be within the same space as the overworld tbh

battles in this game feel so static and barren, as does the whole of the wild area
still a fun loop, i love competitive, but nowhere near as polished as it should be

Gen 1 is not a 9.5. it's not close to a perfect game. If you doing a 9.5 out of fun then yeah but as a whole NO Pokemon game is close to a 10. Gen 6,7, and 8 are NO WHERE near a 10.

Niggas saying these games are perfect. This is coming from someone with a Pokemon collection santuary. I love Pokemon but I'm not going to pretend it's close to perfect games.

I’m a Gen 2 person and it’s awesome but it’s all nostalgia at this point.

You skipped gen 5? Man you’re so lucky. You can go back and play the greatest Pokémon games of all time. Pokémon black 2 and white 2. I highly recommend it...especially on an emulator

This is a fun pokemon game, but lowkey bottom tier as far as being a main game in the franchise.. Its the easiest out the series (way too easy to beat other trainers/gym leaders, leveling up, and finding "rare/shiny" pokemon/items) the whole dynamix thing is dumb af, new pokemon continue to be bland, smaller pokedex & re-using animations is just lazy, although this game is a step up visually we all know it can be better. But nonetheless, its still pretty fun to play, I was just hoping GameFreak would've done a lil better.

The fact this man said Gen 6 is in his top 50. ORAS was in Gen 6. It was made by Ohmori the worst game designer ever.

I honestly wish I worked at GF. I would love them to do my demake idea. Go back to 2.5D sprites from Gen V but demake games. Put Gen 3 in Gen 2 engine.
