Ugly visuals, basic combat, cringe story (thus far), soundtrack is hit or miss to me too. What it does best is the sense of charm, kinda making me feel young again in a good way.

Don’t mean to be negative, I typically don’t play Pokémon but decided to give this one a shot. Last mainline I’ve played was Sapphire when I was like 6 or 7. Since then I’ve played turn-based RPGs with infinitely better combat.

totally agree they need to have a difficulty option

just use a website with a dex that has the wild area weather/location of the mons you're looking for then change the time setting to make them spawn. or join the pokemon discord

What I mean by BS is Pokémon that evolve weird ways such as spinning, friendship, items, and more.

I don’t have any trouble finding rare mons. Only rare mon I had trouble getting to spawn was Drampa but then Ultima gave me one.

It’s not Hop’s team. It’s Zacain. Zacain wrecked most of my team both times I had to fight Zacain.

I’m trying to not to be negative on the game so I don’t speak about it’s flaws as much as what I enjoy. It’s an 8/10 game and probably the weakest Gen to date (or maybe second weakest after Gen 4, haven’t decided) but it’s enjoyable and it’s fun and I’m glad I purchased it.
