Sometimes it does work and that’s wonderful when it does but last night I ran out of quick balls and ultra balls and had to catch a level 40 Pokémon that I didn’t have already without damaging it because any of my moves would have killed it from any of my Pokémon and it took me like 15 great balls to catch it. That’s not worth the trouble. And that wasn’t even pokeballs.

Yeah, you can get lucky. Yeah, I could make my team more easily able to catch pokemon by switching up movesets but I’m not going to cater my teams moveset to specifically cater to catching Pokémon when quick balls exist. It’s not worth the hassle.

True, I should use False Swipe. Where do you get it in this game? I don’t think I have come across it yet which is the problem. I’m only at the 7th gym city in case it’s later.

I wish you could customize poke balls, just tell us what ball was used to catch the Pokemon originally and let us go wild after.

Deoxys catch rate in ORAS is damn near 100%.

It's still random encounters in this game. Actually some of the rarer Pokemon don't appear on the overworld. So you're basically cheating yourself by only going for overworld Pokemon

rayquaza’s and the box legendary’s are, but deoxy’s was hard as brix to catch when i replayed it. i had to restart like 3 times and used at least 20 pokeballs

i know they’re still random encounters, but the game doesn’t force you into them

I’ll equip false swipe on Toxtricity for my journey to the 8th gym city but I just realized that method is largely ineffective because it hails so much in the wild area.

I WILL track down these quick balls befor I go back to the 7th gym city.
