I wanted to do online battles in this thread but Jesus the online for this game is horrendous. It's no way we can do a 6v6 in 20 mins nobody wants to do 3v3 either

i’ve been playing pokemon all my life and have always been a purest, and the game hasn’t been any harder as far as catching pokemon. you just have to be patient and reload sometimes, especially if it’s a legendary

A pokeball isn’t going to work on a fully healed level 50 Pokémon. Yes, it can theoretically but it’s highly unlikely and just wastes my time and frustrates me. I don’t care about cost, I have like 400k in this and Watts are easy to get in this game.

Money is so easy to come by in this game it’s not even a big deal buying other types of pokeballs.

Personally I think multiple different pokeballs look better than normal pokeballs. Normal ones in game are just bland at this point.

I’m not too sure about what water types are available before that as I don’t remember but I know you can at least catch a magikarp before the fire gym by fishing in the wild area. Then you can grow him 5 levels into a Gyrados. I know you can find random water mons here and there and can fish for them but the actual wild water section of the game isn’t until route 9.

You need to read up on catch rates. Paralysis and sleep increase catch rate and you don't have to get a Pokemon down to red. Under half is as high the catch rate will increase add a status on top and it increases more.

Quick balls are suppose to only be used to just take a shot in the dark. Because they only have a high catch rate on the very first turn. After that the catch rate falls below 50%. You have a better chance getting dusk balls and catching Pokemon at night and in caves.

I’m aware that I don’t need to get them down to red but the issue is I OHKO all wild Pokémon now unless they are in the 50s which I can’t even catch Pokémon above level 50 yet. Quick Balls just make life less stressful when that is the case. It’s not that things are impossible, I just want to catch them as easy and quick as possible and move on.

Do you happen to remember where the Watts guy is that sells quick balls? I couldn’t find him this morning and the internet lied to me.

Use a non effective attacking move y'all really be making this game harder than it should be lol.

The non effective moves often kill as well. I’m often 20 levels higher than the Pokémon I’m catching.

you just have to strategize and use status effects and false swipe. it isn’t that hard

Regardless, it’s more effort than needed when you have alternate options available. You never run out of money in this game so I’m not worried about paying for more for higher quality and better looking pokeballs.
