    bossyyyyy

No sir. Good money is definitely a very subjective thing. I was happy when I was 16 making $9.50 if I was getting that same wage today I wouldn’t be so happy.

You skipped completely over my point where I said tipping is optional...or is it not? Personally, that is where I am rubbed wrong about the whole issue. If it were mandatory I wouldn’t trip, but it’s optional, and should be treated as such.

Also I’m not a s***ty customer. I treat each of my servers with the utmost respect, me not tipping does not take away from that fact.

As for my point about busboys etc, the waiters often skimp them out of the overall tip pot bra. I know you’re able to read, but I doubt how well. To add if I had the choice to tip anyone, it would be the cooks off rip.

About the immigrant workers, yes if given the opportunity I would tip them, so don’t assume “ihype” and no it’s not deflection, it’s me telling the truth and directing attention to people in worse situations who NEED more money and who ARE working for their survival

Lastly, why does it fall on me the customer to ensure that this employee makes a livable wage rather than the employer that pays them?

You want a legit answer for your last question?

The answer is because you’re supporting the employer by eating there.

If you’re completely against the whole idea, by all means do not order from restaurants and do not go places where they do not pay minimum wage. Boycott the whole thing because you’re against the idea.

If you’re gonna support the employer/owner and not tip and support the employee you are scum. That’s all there is to it

If someone is making less than legal minimum wage because it is EXPECTED they will earn income through tips, and you do not tip them, that is depriving them of income.

    Wtf is hard to understand?

Again tipping is optional, a poor person buying a food at a restaurant once in a while but doesnt tip is not depriving them of their income because their income has always been fix

U can advocate for tipping without attacking poor people who dont tip uk

    what?

You're trying to make us saying broke people should stay at home into some 'poor people cannot enjoy themselves' bs.

When it's not that. It's that a poor person should not go out and directly get services from another struggling person and refuse to pay them. Stay inside and cook a meal or get fast food. You're literally being irresponsible personally and to other people by getting food with lack of money and no plan to tip those making below minimum wage.

You are highkey trash and the worst ever example of a human rights activist I've seen tbh.

Stop trying to make it into optional.

They are paid BELOW minimum legal wage with the expectation they earn tips. Thus not earning tips means they are literally not making livable legal wages.

Tipping is dependent on them making money to survive.
