Plus the rumors that this isn't even the version of the album we were supposed to get. OG versions of tracks already being leaked
Well it's the same situation as EA where the actual title of the album took on a life of it's own and fans were watching the creative process in real time as versions of songs and albums were scrapped
This "WLR" isn't really "WLR" - it's just a Playboi Carti album, just as EA wasn't EA it was a rushed mess put out under that title to sell a f***load
This sounds stupid as f*** but hopefully you know what I mean
Kind of like if you moved the LA Lakers to Seattle and changed the whole roster overnight whilst still trying to call them the LA Lakers
Best Verses:
Beno!
IloveUIHateU (My hands on my stick like a little witch
I told her, "I really don't do this s***")
Vamp Anthem
Punk Munk
Not Playing
WLR leak culture is another level of bad
They should focus on leaking old s*** that will never see the light of day, not s*** the artist is still working on
Hating on the album is the popular opinion, your comment makes no sense
Mfs had they opinion made before it dropped let’s be real
most the ones hating it don’t even listen to Carti like that and that’s what I mean by going against the grain
This album is so carti it makes me confused how people who like his other music hate it
It's honestly suprising, but understandable
Hating on the album is the popular opinion, your comment makes no sense
Yeah it's a combination of being disappointed by huge amounts of hype (around those tiktok snippets), bandwagoning and the fact that negative comments get more attention than positive ones

I think neither Uzi or Carti would feel comfortable dropping “EA” or “WLR” if they weren’t exactly that

I don't agree, if the album was easier to swallow / good / whatever (let's not get hung up on individual opinions) it would have gotten a good reception
Astroworld was hyped the exact same, did the job and got nothing but love. I don't think people go into it wanting to be negative, but once the memes and spin cycle take hold there's no stopping it

Should’ve pulled a thug a changed names
We never got hytunes

EA was fire, idk what else people wanted from EA
This album is so carti it makes me confused how people who like his other music hate it
yeah I felt like I was the only one that was hearing some of these tracks and thinking back to broke boi/fetti era
What are the best tracks so I don’t have to drudge thru this album
try rockstar made, go2damoon, stop breathing, beno!, jumpoutthehouse, m3tamorphosis, slay3r, no sl33p, new tank, teen x, meh, vamp anthem, new n3on, control, punk monk, on that time, king vamp, place, sky, over, iloveuihateu, die4guy, not playing and f33l lik3 dyin
I think neither Uzi or Carti would feel comfortable dropping “EA” or “WLR” if they weren’t exactly that
A lil uzi album dropped in March 2020 not named Eternal Atake is not selling 290k first week
It's a business decision for hype and visibility
What are the best tracks so I don’t have to drudge thru this album
All
No
I feel like on not playing when Carti does the voice strain thing he sounds similar
Should’ve pulled a thug a changed names
We never got hytunes
Exactly right, great point. Hytunes either leaked or got sent to the scrap heap. Thug didn't pursue it (wasn't made to) because that name hadn't built up hype / infamy yet. Complete opposite to what I'm talking about
What are the best tracks so I don’t have to drudge thru this album
Hard to say what are the best tracks but maybe go from Vamp Anthem or Sky. A lot of people like the second half more
