Artic Monkeys-Suck It And See
Wasn't very interesting to me but I can't call the music bad,it sounds like an indie rock album from the 2010s,a song off this album was most definitely played in American Eagles and Hot Topics across America in the early 10s,I can see my teen self f***ing with this during that time period tho.
6/10-I f***ed with Brick By Brick
Outkast - ATLiens
A bonafide classic. Got Aquemini & Stankonia above it, but this & Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik are undeniable records too. Dark & moody production and lyrics, this is what Trab was talking about when he said make that s*** dark..This s*** raw, u know? Yeah. Everything that can be said about this record has already been said. Big Boi & Andre come through, as we expect them to and make an impressive switch from their previous album.
Highlights: You May Die (make dying sound real good..), Two Dope Boyz in a Cadillac, ATLiens, Jazzy Belle (smooth u already know
) , Elevators, Babylon, Wailin’, Mainstream (AAAhh
), 13th floor/Growing Old (ELITE!!!! song, what an album closer fr)
Grateful I got to catch them on their 2014 reunion tour. Legends of the game forever. Sometimes I still fantasize about that Outkast/Tribe joint album.. Hope Andre packs in the flute someday and calls up Big Boi like “how about one last heist, partna?” You feel me?
9.5/10

As Tall as Lions - As Tall as Lions
Not sure why but I'm not feeling this album as much as I should. I think the level of craft is very high, the instrumentation/arrangements, singing (lead and backing), production are all good but it doesn't connect with me much. I think the singer's voice and style might be part of this, towards the beginning of the album I like it but I just get sick of it after 45 minutes. He's objectively a very good singer though. There are also some kind emo-ish moments on here which normally isn't my favorite type of indie/alt rock. For the instrumentation there are a lot of detailed parts like some horn or bright percussion type thing (Bell? idk name rn) and everything is layered well. None of this really stands out to me much though but at the very least I don't dislike any of this while it's playing. It sounds like a very mid 2000s indie rock album but at the same time I don't think it sounds like a copy of anything, they have a specific sound. did remind me of radiohead or coldplay type stuff a few times though. My favorite songs were Stab City and Ghost of York and my least favorite was Maybe I'm Just Tired.
6.5/10
Review:
Paramore - Brand New Eyes
An album of songs that sound copy and pasted from any other band in the genre. Nothing innovative or special to me at all. Maybe a you had to be there moment or more relatable in high school.
Best tracks: The Only Exception, Misguided Ghosts, All I Wanted (these three are 9/10)
Overall Rating: 5.5/10 Catchy but really just exactly mid to me
My submission for first album I ever bought (well.. bought for me after asking for it)

Silent Alarm - Bloc Party
First time listening to this record and I must say I really enjoyed it! Songs like eating glass, and helicopter are fast paced and give off such great energy.
Don’t get me wrong though the slower paced tracks are just as good like positive tension, banquet, blue light, plans, and especially compliments.
The album starts with a bang with like eating glass and slowly starts to simmer with a closer like compliments, great closer to a great record.
fav songs - like eating glass, helicopter, this modern love, little thoughts, the pioneers, compliments
