There's plenty of artists and producers wbo make amazing music without knowing theory, there are many aspects of music that don't have to do with and can't be explained by theory.

Is knowing theory an advantage all things being equal? Sure, but there are so many more interesting things about music to discuss than chord progressions and scales.

I mean I'm not that much of a movie guy like that so i cant speak on that tbh

But i know i would much rather listen to Kanye or other artists and producers who may not know music theory like that about music than somebody who has little creative intuition and just learned music theory

when i say that, I meant this is his most personal album to date. Him hashing out his truths etc. Which might be up in the air for alot of the general public
