i just hate how bleh the hire is. we need to think outside the box. this is becoming like a family type affair, only hiring dudes that come from dudes that used to be in our org. don’t like that look at all.

This is the point I think everyone is missing lol. Out of the last 3 HC hires that Lurie has made, the only candidate who had a name before becoming HC was Chip Kelly. The others were Doug and Andy.

Too early to call and let's all keep it a buck, none of us were watching Colts games or keeping up with the Colts to that level to where we can call this a good hire or not, we'll let it play out.

But so far his name isn't "Josh McDaniels" so that's a plus.

I think we may have bailed a little too early with both Chip and Doug but both kinda forced our hands in different ways.

Chip Kelly was the worst so I didn’t mind seeing him go that early. Firing Doug felt premature to me, and all signs pointed to him actually returning until he stood up for himself to Lurie and told him if he couldn’t hire his own people then he’s out. So here we are now lol

This guy could prove to be a good coach. My issue with the hire is the optics of it appearing to be pandering to Wentz. So if we actually did hire a coach with the number one motive being to fix Carson instead of the whole team, then I think we’re f***ed
