Before I rebuy this game again are there any noticeable differences besides basically adding a DLC pack lol?

Lots of changes to the story and gameplay. Honestly really glad I bought it as someone who's played the original

it's really just the boss that's worse. didn't have any issues with the palace itself. can't remember if anything was changed from the base game or not though.

missed the claw machine one on my first playthrough, so i had to get up to september on ng+ to get the plat

On the boss right now, the palace itself is somewhat better but my f***ing god the boss is atrocious

you need to take out every single robot at the same time in two turns. If you dont do that the robots will either run away or one of them will blow up, meaning you have to repeat it all over again until you get it right

That boss is about to be easy. I'm just going to get my favorite persona that's immune to everything and can one shot everything

5/21 now and enjoying every minute. Really is one of the greatest games ever.

Every now and then when I'm playing I find myself stopping for a little bit and just wondering how the f*** are they going to top this with P6. I can't even fathom how they're gonna do it.

P5 was originally supposed to be a game where the main cast were globetrotters but changed after the 2011 earthquake.

Could see them returning to that idea for P6

the dlc personas are insane. I've been on nightmare and literally izanagi and kaguya wreck everything
izanagi does heavy dmg x2 and kaguya can do 4-8x light dmg
I think I'm not gonna use them just because of how OP they are

the game really is better than I remember. I played the OG once and it was my first persona game so I missed out on a lot, went and played p4/3 and now that I'm playing royal I've really come to appreciate so much about it and we have FF7

im bout to start my first play-through soon, you started this on Nightmare or is this like your 2nd play-through? You think the difficulty is fair?

first run. your teammates get one shot often in the beginning so just make sure u save a lot (u can't retry the battle u go back to ur last save) and u have a lot of revives. but it's still fun, u can make it as hard or as easy as u want depending on the personas u use. just make sure ur using ur de/buffs. u can change the difficulty whenever u want though so dw

S*** was so frustrating i had to turn it down to normal

first playthrough, i'd just go on normal or hard. game really isn't too difficult with the changes made in royal. merciless difficulty ("hardest" one) increases damage caused by crits, technicals, etc. and it goes both ways for you & the enemies. basically, it makes it easier than hard with how the damage multipliers work.
