I was expecting to love this movie, but it’s missing something.

Nothing really happens in the movie,
I don’t really feel growth from the characters either.

Idk. Everything is beautiful. Cinematography, music, sound, set, casting, wardrobe, etc.

But the characters barely do anything or have any urgency.

It’s like nothing matters from one event to the next.

wow i Loved this. i felt the majority of it was Alana attempting to discover self... and “get her s\*\*\* together,” by dating multiple men, only to find out that no one has their s\*\*\* together. also a great story of right person, wrong time.

yes it is certainly a slice of life and less a plot but i loved it. 4 out of 5 for me

You seen Dazed and Confused or Everybody Wants Some? This reminds me of those types of movies.

I agree I feel like she was more the main character than Gary and definitely has an arc of finding herself throughout the movie

eh i mean ur 20s to me is like a second stage of coming of age and discovering your passions in life, kinda like that pete davidson movie that came out last year king of staten island where he’s still tryna get his s*** together

pretty much. Like it dead reminds me of American Graffiti, Everybody Wants Some, Adventureland, Dazed and Confused, in that sense.

Those hangout movies where the gold is more so about how the characters interact with each other than just some end goal.

Damn Coens VS PTA is always good. TWBB edges NCFOM just a little for me.

But for Macbeth they came wit some Seventh seal/ beauty and the beast visuals
