ngl I prefer licorice pizza over pt but only cause I personally prefer a more modern setting + hs/college coming of age type films are my bread and butter
phantom thread def the better film tho.. but if I had to choose between the two I’m watching licorice pizza just for personal reasons.
boogie nights my fave pta + I haven’t seen like 3 of his films and barely remember there will be blood or punch drunk love cause I watched once when I was too young.
basically heads up I’m not some big pta fan/movie buff and just a casual.

no clapping during the movie but they were clapping hella loud at the end of the movie. s*** was cool but not good enough for me to wanna applaud at the end
also was surprised by how loud and how often the crowd was laughing throughout the movie. The movie is definitely funny but nothing in it was laugh out loud funny to me
also that racist asian scene was really racist and was really unnecessary/didn’t add anything to the movie.. but that s*** was still pretty funny ngl
solid like 8.5/10
also I feel like if I was sitting further back than the third row maybe my viewing experience would have been better but not sure if I wanna pay to see again when it gets wide release.
Crazy that there r actually that clap for a movie, like tf, PTA ain’t gonna hear yah.
