Fremaux has also been hoping to lure Paul Thomas Anderson’s “Soggy Bottom,” a film set in 1970s San Fernando Valley starring Benny Safdie, Joseph Cross and Bradley Cooper (in a small part). The artistic director was recently in talks with Universal Studios, but the movie’s new release date at the end of the year suggests it’s a more distant possibility at this point.

Never understood why people try to trash MCU films to be super snobbish its like Directors like PTA and Malick love them too and no ones stopping you from watching art house movies just cause MCU exists I dont understand these people. Imma be feasting with spiderman and soggy bottom

You can enjoy big fun, dumb movies and still find the MCU to be soulless bland assault on the creative process

We dont know at this point. Usually they announce him right off the bat because he makes music at the same time as filming, pretty far in advance for most films.

He also did an interview where he mentioned two film scores he was working on and this was not mentioned. (He's working on 'Spencer' and Jane Campions next film - probably 'Power of the Dog')

nah malick doesn't do interviews forgot where I saw but austin film projectionist was talking about how Malick rented out a theater to watch a movie. Malick came in super excited and projectionist finds out the movie he was giddy over and had them set up was Iron Man.

Not gonna lie, youre right about PDL, but Greenwood pops out masterful soundtracks of many kinds with every single thing in film he tries. Brion's score for Magnolia is far from masterful.
