yh it's known he hates directing but I'm in the same camp as David Lynch thinking he's the right person to execute his vision, and I think he did. yes it's corny etc but it feels like a huge passion project and that's what I love about it
when u watch the behind the scenes it's crazy how he just knew exactly the type of designs that would or would not work to fit his vision of these worlds. Disney will forever try to emulate his style and is doomed to fail every time. it's a disgrace to me

Last Jedi easily on the top 3 or 4 and Star Wars was like my religion way before prequel trilogy even came out. Yes the casino section could've been cut but still, it's peak.

Rogue one was good
