It was an eyeroller tbh
I think it works
Leo’s character is a hippy in his 50s who used to be a left wing militia guy. Someone like that tangentially knowing what pronouns/non-binary people are and bumbling through it while trying to get it right is a cute bit and it also isn’t for nothing, it shows what his and his daughter’s relationship is like. I like it!
She not looking like a strong actor
That "Dad what is wrong with you" line in the trailer is chopped to hell from like three different line readings.
There's a few chopped up lines in the trailer.
And you basing that on random cut off deliveries from a 2 minute trailer?
And when tf did PTA had a bad performance in his movies
Real ones know

Yeah, peeped that. I’m hoping that’s what it is. She got butchered too many times in a trailer lol
He made the investment in 2018. Someone could make the argument that supporting Israel at any point in time is immoral because the conflict has been ongoing and they’ve been displacing people forever. And I wouldn’t argue against that.
But it’s not like he saw everything that’s happened there over the past two years and thought, “Now that they’ve got rid of all those Palestinians and destroyed their homes that would make a great spot for a hotel”
Terrible timing for this to come out
Man wtf lol
DiCaprio hotel

He can just...not do this lol

so he should only be concerned with how it looks for PR?

yh nah this was in development for years and he's had 2 years to pull out of this before it starts construction. he's a co-owner so was definitely involved in decision-making. he made a decision to ignore everything and profit off a genocidal apartheid state
all while being a "messenger for peace" and spokesperson for environmental causes lol. it's been known he's a piece of s*** but this is rly the cherry on top
I still wanna see this movie, but yh it's knowing he's a s***ty person. honestly I doubt PTA is in the clear either since he's so close w Tarantino who lives in Israel, and to my knowledge he hasn't a thing to say about Gaza. Zionism is def the mainstream in Hollywood
in Germany this is releasing as The Battle of Baktan Cross
rare W if u ask me
Very rare holy s***

Lots of borderline spoilers about the movie though(if you don’t want to know much)
Wouldn’t he have to give up his Titanic role to do that?

Considering both came out in 1997 and Titanic had a huge ass production, yea he prob had to sacrifice one of the biggest hits of all time for Boogie Nights. Win-Win situation for him anyways.

Jack is such an iconic role but goddamn if Leo wouldnt have killed Boogie Nights
meanwhile Marky Mark says it's his biggest regret
Leo would probably be good, but Wahlberg looks dumber, and I like that for the character. like, when he's arguing with his mom, he behaves like a little boy and it's great.
