It’s modern day so they were radicals in like 2009
Ohh that makes more sense
Is the Trailer is a good encapsulation of what you may or may not have seen?

Leo pulling up with the senior citizen shades like he’s in They Live
Probably you can expect some a lot of references
If anyone wants to know vague plotness, pretty much spelled out in the trailer anyway but I think
teyana and her family/friends were radicals, leo was part of it too and had a kid with teyana. Then the group disbands, and Sean Penn plays a white supremacist who is hunting their now grown up kid
it matches the broad strokes of Vineland, but the stuff around it is different, similarly with TWBB and Upton Sinclair's Oil!. Del Toro seems to be a rendition of Takeshi from the book.

Absolutely. It’s all there. The humor, the politics, the heart, the kinetic propulsiveness. Couldn’t have cut a more perfect trailer
Basically the trailer, like the film, f***ing rips
This post is nothing more than pure speculation
