Yes.
Yes.
The only flaw to this movie is the ending I didn't like that Willa accepted the letter from her mother and it almost framed Perfidia as a "tragic hero". I'd have preferred that she rejected the letter and embraced her father even though they aren't blood-related, he's more of a father to her than her biological parents ever will be. That would've made for a more touching ending imo

Who are people to say that the movie is invalid or wrong because it didn’t go how they wanted the characters to act
Bro it’s a f***ing fictional story and creativity is so sacred if these people had any kind of experience of what it means to be catching ideas and being like a child and letting ur ideas be valid they wouldn’t be saying this stuff. They are adulting way too hard
Twitter is roasted
Oh no a black woman in the movie is a bad person. The movie must hate black women
Let’s just ignore Regina Hall and Chase Infinity
I do have to stop reading these takes tho just gettin myself mad for no reason. No upside to engaging with these braindead takes. I know how I feel about the movie that’s good enough

90% of the film's online criticisms can be boiled down to this

Redownloaded it last week and my god what a s*** show it’s been. Such glaring engagement farming n vague posting, not to mention the flat ass takes ESPECIALLY in regards to this and sinners

it don't think it really shows she like forgave her mother or anything just that she was emotionally touched by it. i mean her father, the person you want her to embrace, gave it to her. so she kinda trusts his rec/guidance there. imagine never knowing your mom and all this s*** happens to you. it seemed pretty normal for her to read it, and she still did embrace her dad.
i guess im wondering for this character, what sense in the moment do you think it makes or improvement it adds to the story for her to not want to read it or react negatively?
i also think atp in the film we can kinda take perfidias word with a grain of salt.

If OBAA was a Disney channel movie ass ending

And then when movies like the Joker came out it was "why cant we get female villains or female roles like this??? why are we always the house wife and love interest"
If OBAA was a Disney channel movie ass ending
Funnily enough I felt like the ending we got was that with the letter and her going out to protest lol
