Not sure if this is worth a nom, but it’s her eyes and face in the film.

At the campfire when Perfidia and Junglepussy are talking and Leo says it’s like she doesn’t know she’s pregnant, there’s such a striking close up of Regina just looking at Perfidia and then looking away as you see her thinking and realising what’s happening in a way that it seems none of the other characters do. And her urgent panicked moment with Willa in the school bathroom. And the moments between Regina and the brave beaver nun as Regina talks about how she didn’t have the guts to tell Willa about her mother. Again you just see her face and eyes totally defeated and honest about how their lives have unfurled and how things have shaken out

All these moments anchor the movie in a gigantic way for me upon second and third viewings.

regina hall has been putting up numbers for decades, happy to see her anywhere and her performance was amazing... this movie deserves more time with all the characters besides Bob and Lockjaw, such a bummer this wasn't a smash
