Oh I interpreted it as them leaving it purposefully ambiguous

I mean they asked her where Bob is and she told the truth that she didn’t know and they clearly didn’t believe her. These dudes don’t f\*\*\* around. She 100% got killed

As a big big big fan of Nolan, one of my GOATs, Dunkirk is probably bottom 2 of his for me too. I feel like what Nolan is good at just doesn’t really shine through in a war film

yh this was nice teyanna taylor been bae that levis jeans scene that s*** better than beyo9nce x sweeney at times felt like leo was just playing himself running around high n drunk after a bender best music in a film this year hands down sean penn was great although felt a bit too close to the bone him draggin the girl as he's been known to be violent throughout the years. wish there was more detail about the french 75 group the origins their aims etc. also wish we had a black male character to root for wood harrison was great as usually but didnt have much to do apart from lips haim sister and intro set up monologue black men in thie film were missing completely which is a shame also why the fact they got a latino guy in a taco shirt that s*** racist on 100 beautifully filmed i'd say a perfect sibling to eddington top 5 for sure been a great year for long films with political subject matter

OBAA is great and one of the best movies of the decade so far, but Oppenheimer is a lot more ambitious, has a lot more to say (imo) and managed to do it all in a way few movies manage to do.

I love Paul and love me some Jonny movie scores (even if his politics have me a little soured on him), but I think Ludwig's score is superior to Jonny's here and I think Oppenheimer is more of a testament and culmination of Nolan's talents and prowess than this is to Paul's.

Two of the best movies of the decade, but at the end of the day I'm siding with the one that tried to do more and somehow didn't falter at all in doing so. But no one should see that as slant against this obviously.

Oppenheimer is a near-perfect film to me as well, but the main strength in it is the way Cillian carries it all the way through (which makes sense being that it is a biopic)

Replace Cillian and I don’t think that movie sings the same way

Whereas One Battle has a wealth of wonderful performances (Leo, Teyana, Chase, Benicio, Sean, Regina, etc.) and doesn’t really feel like strength of the film is reliant on the performance of any one of them in particular

The music during the sensei raid elevated that whole sequence, but:

"love me some Jonny movie scores (even if his politics have me a little soured on him)"

Here, lemme say it for ya: f*** Johnny greenboul Zionist ass

The movie's called Oppenheimer. It's a much more subjective movie reliant on a lead actor than this thing is. That's what it's supposed to be.

But it's also full of fantastic performances from people that appear for like 5 minutes too. Hartnett, Krumholtz, Alden, Jefferson Hall, Safdie, Clarke are all absolutely bonkers. Not to mention how good RDJ and Blunt are.

Yeah I know, that’s why I said it makes sense for that to be the case with Oppenheimer

Oppenheimer has literally a Bohemian Rhapsody level of editing,, is truly horrendous. Nolan is so insecure about audience reactions to a "people just talking in rooms" movie that he felt the need to rush everything up, this a parallel for his contant exposition in his movies... he just thinks movie audiences are the dumbest people on earth
