Movie was dumb hard
There was some good ass shots too
At top of my head the one the dude hits Kevin and you see his head on the floor with his blood mixed with that jar the dude drank and threw on the floor
That and the whole sequence of Kim walking away from the crime scene
Kinda bummed I had to leave quick during the credits because the score that started sounded hella dope
Okay so I’m new to this filmmaker, is his other work as good/better which one should I check out after this? because this lowkey makes me wanna rewatch Oldboy somehow lol
Also if anyone has suggestions of similar asian movies like that hit me up fam
Probably already mentioned but The host would be another one he’s made and snowpiercer (I believe it was his first English speaking film)
Loved this film. For the first 30mins of the movie I didn't know what the hell was going to happen.
The themes it discussed went full circle by the end of it. S*** is really subtle throughout the entire film, which makes it really enjoyable imo.
Really enjoyed that it was a good mix of multiple genres - hard to say what it is specifically. Not surprised it won at Cannes.
#RESPEKKKK

OH he the one who did The Host??? okay I see yeah I saw that way back, wasn’t a fan but it’s been FOREVER and I was expecting something different I’ll try again
I heard about Snowpiercer too
This was fire. Wished I had watched it in theaters but no place showing it within like 2 hours 😐

THIS MOVIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
one thing i don't get it
the scene when they discovered the basement and the old maid got them on footage confessing to be family, why the folded so easily. All they had to do was reverse threaten that old man with revealing his location to the loan sharks that were headhunting him...

Its to show the power of the phone and footage nowadays. They even metaphorically use the phone as a gun. and pretend to lead a revolution, by the power of a text. Acknowledging the power WiFi and technology has over people now. Its really beautiful.
