Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't MJ not want to settle out of court? Like settling wasn't his idea @KingOfPop

i think there were many financial factors at play not just the situation in a bubble

if i’m not mistaken he was about to embark on a leg of his tour? and didn’t want to have to cancel that so there’s a lot of financial advice he probably got to do whatever to end that as quickly as he could

but he later regretted doing that because it looked a certain way

He was told to settle from the advice of his legal counsel which included the lawyer who defended OJ and won. If that nigga is telling you it's a lost cause and you need to settle? it's over. Also Michael was already indebt for 30 million dollars and had to take out a loan just to pay off this settlement. It's pretty clear that it was his only option

the more concerning part to me is the lengths people will go to debate his innocence. this is a situation all of us are removed from (hopefully) and to spend that much energy in defense of the POSSIBILITY he did nothing with those kids simply because you love his music, and who f***ing doesn't? it's Michael Jackson, shows that there is an extreme case of fans invested in a parasocial redemption that could repeat again and again for powerful men if they are revered enough by the general public.

whether guilty or innocent, that will always be sad to me.

Yeah, he slept with multiple little kids in the same bed for nights and nights. That’s pretty f***in weird and having a troubled childhood doesn’t really excuse that in my eyes

It's not just the fact that he settled, its all the circumstances that led to him settling and the amount. Michael immediately pays out a settlement right after the boy accurately describes his genitals. A 25 million dollar settlement which Michael had to take out a loan to pay due to already being 30 million dollars in-debt. This added with other facts that we know: Michael slept in the same bed with these kids for years unsupervised, had multiple books with naked children + photos of a kid naked who frequented the ranch, multiple explicit p***ographic magazines and videos at the ranch (a place made to be a sanctuary for children) of which magazines had fingerprints from children as well as Michael himself, the fact this man had not just 1 but 5 ACCUSERS, and obviously a child being able to accurately describe a mark on Michael's genitals. All of this makes it clear that at the very least, Michael exposed one of these kids to his naked body, showed them explicit p***ographic content, definitely was a pedophile since he had multiple books of naked children along with his p*** collection (there's no way to explain that away), and slept in the same bed with these kids many times unsupervised. These are all textbook grooming tactics and it's hard to believe nothing more happened. I grew up listening to Michael's music and I'm still a big fan of his work regardless. Before digging into this, I thought this was all bullshit but it's clear to me that this man was a very sick individual, not the innocent child-like man that he presented himself as. I'm surprised that people still deny this with all these facts and don't put Michael in the same light as R Kelly

MJ filed and lost 4 separate motions to have the criminal trial go first. Having the civil trial go first meant the criminal trial could be built around whatever came from the civil. MJs human right to a fair trial was denied.

The Chandlers admit several times they didn’t want anything but civil. Even in their own book. Ask yourself why they’d only want the trial that ended in $$.

The law was changed because of these events and criminal proceedings now must precede civil.

You’ll never see a source for any of these claims.

They don’t even get the settlement amount right, which has been in public domain for 20 years.

If they can’t even get that right…

    Until I come into town…

You're totally off topic though, your only argument on this one is "I don't know anything about this case and neither does everyone else" and somehow you think you have a point but nothing you are saying has any value or adds anything to the debate. You say the dumbest s*** and then you say "but that's facts though" but when it needs to go deeper than that you can't.

Bro the last thing that Michael wanted was a criminal trial lmfao. He would've been cooked alive. Paying out that settlement was his only option. You're literally just spreading misinformation at this point

I've literally provided directed sources for everything I've said lmfao. There's a reason you haven't responded to my posts because you know you can't protect your idol from the disgusting facts. This man was sick. Go ahead and provide a source for MJ filing for motions to have a criminal trial go first. They don't exist. Michael settled because he knew he was cooked. If he wanted a trial he could have tried to have them charged with extortion or countersued, but he didn’t

not sure what you're reading but here's an official excerpt from the Santa Barbara county police records

No circumcision is described. Only the marks.

Despite the perfect opportunity to highlight any discrepancies, or a complete mismatch, Jackson’s defence team, did the complete opposite and fought tooth and nail to keep the description and photographs out of the courtroom.

Then immediately decided to settle a 25 million dollar lawsuit afterwards....

That second screenshot is about the 2005 trial, not the 1993 lawsuit, therefore completely unrelated to your point 🤷‍♂️

Oh, my bad then. You can disregard that, what's important is that Michael immediately settles after the results for the boy's description of his genitalia comes out a match

What do you say about the kid being able to accurately describe Michael's genitals and the finger prints from children found on the erotic BDSM books which indicated he showed children this explicit content ?

Literally none of that is true. And you're clearly one of the weirdos that are obsessed with Michael because ya'll do nothing but bring out that same Orth article which has been debunked time and time again.

    Answer me one simple question.

In the court proceedings of 1993, what happened on November 23rd 1993.

You have all the facts, and sources, so please, let me know.

Lol... Here's the s*** that Michael had hidden in his bedroom. This is a fact. It's also a fact that many p*** magazines were found when the Neverland ranch was raided, some of which had fingerprints from the children. These are facts.

I'm the weirdo for pointing out this sick behavior? amazing

If this is all true, why is the only mention of this photo of Jonathan Spence in this prosecution motion?
