Yeah not sure about that. I’m not saying it’s bad. I just think it’s so overrated that it’s almost funny at this point.
great film for me, meh might be overrated but I’m not in online films spheres like that to know or care

Don’t think you need to to know it’s over rated just based off of the award season

barely pay attention lol, to me it’s worthy BP though fs & Cillian
Bradley Cooper’s industry clout is actually so crazy I haven’t seen anyone say something good about that movie

Agree to disagree. But your attitude is nice.
Cillian did do a great job though. That I won’t deny.

It looks so Oacar baity to me that I can’t get myself to watch. It’s funny because it didn’t win a single at any festival. It was just part of the “Selects”

I want to watch it, but don’t at the same time, no one in kino has watched it for me to know if it’s a complete waste of time
Oppenheimer rewatch at home was fantastic
It's the best movie of the 2020s and the first film since The Irishman I'd call a masterpiece
it is well above and beyond any other nominee here
Both those movies have parts that I find to be very hard to connect to emotionally. The Irishman’s first act and Oppenheimer’s third act.

I mean Irishman is supposed to be that way. The emotional punch hits you in the 3rd act which is one of the most depressing in cinema imo.

I understand, but until that time we just get a boilerplate Scorsese gangster drama. The subversion doesn’t make up for that.
I thought Bening was fantastic. Haven’t seen May December yet but I wouldn’t say Bening over Robbie was some criminal snub
I think you’re the only one here who’s actually seen that movie haha
have only seen 2 of the best picture noms but im gonna try to watch the rest before the awards. so far
1. Poor Things
2. Killers of the Flower Moon

I promise not one single person watched Barbie and said "damn what an Oscar worthy performance" Oscar's tried to get in with the young/cool kids by giving Barbie a bunch of noms due to the boxoffice and instead got stabbed in back by angry feminists who just got emboldened to demand ALL THE NOMINATIONS
