I genuinely want to see awards shift to best actor and I am not even joking. Only disadvantage is its less awards but to at least have performance of the year category and it be coed would be major

We would be operating under the assumption that women would get a fair shake in a coed category and I don't think that would be the case

If the Man gets nominated and more accolades than the woman in a movie thats supposed to be focused on the woman character some of that comes down to the WRITER OF THE MOVIE AND THE PLOT

i mean the movie wouldn't have seen a fraction of that success with someone else directing, but this years directors category is pretty stacked. she came into it with an actual vision

i'd be comfortable with her over anatomy of a fall (fantastic movie) director tho. i think thats a movie where the screenplay shines more than the directing

i think women would dominate best actors

they got a better range than men can go generally

For example Emma Stone in Poor Things was better than Cillian Murphy was in Oppenheimer. But there is no way Stone would win over Murphy in a coed category for best performance

I am saying you make a category for best scene or best performance and its coed . Nothing is loss with a new category being coed and getting some awards out

There have been many years where undeniably in tv and film the best performance or scene came from a woman

Seeing a woman win over a man or even the possibility would be more impactful than all the bullshit complaining by barbie fans today

If voters wouldn't let that happen then the clear situation of men winning every year would lead to a greater cry to shift the judges again in gender , race and economic background
