The idea of going into a film wanting to hate it because of what type of ppl is in it is weird. Why even watch the movie then?

I thought it was alright just felt like it overused flashback & exposition to tell the story and tell us about characters which I get it cause they wanted most the movie to take place in that one location where they talk

I read about the event after movie and apparently the book it’s based on is fictional story about what really happened. Like they were drugging and raping their females but unfortunately the women never held that meeting about leaving they all just stayed.

Noticing exposition dumps has been the worse thing about being a writer lmao. I never paid attention to that s*** prior.

For real lol and tbh I cut them slack cause for the story they were telling it’s hard to do it any other way since the whole movie takes place in like a day or two but a lot of the girls went through past traumatic stuff the audience needs to learn about somehow

It’s not even that it bothers me, definitely pointless exposition does but not one’s that help the story. It’s more so the fact of even noticing it is what I’m referring to, cus then I’ll start thinking “I wonder how I would of personally wrote out this exposition”
