It’s actually a divisive classic if you’re not that invested in Marylin Monroe
not in a disrespectful way but i’m not invested enough in her to care about the historical inaccuracies and etc. i’ma finish it good looks
ya'll really too lazy to click a link fam? Its right there in OP that takes you to the written list of the nominees
im just saying theres much better ways to organize the OP of an awards show thread when noms are out
so is Blonde worth finishing? i got to the part with the twin or similarly looking white boys & that’s it
maybe the best movie of the year imo
not something imma wanna watch over and over but a must watch imo and idc at all about Marilyn Monroe
hope ana wins for best actress idc that you can still hear her accent
Why would it
for VFX
they snuck hella undeserving movies in the noms this year wdym why would it

Ok ok VFX is fair, wouldn’t deserve any other nom tbf
Two things can be true lol.
She is absolutely gorgeous and I'm sure a great human being.
But her acting skills are terrible.
mediocre film
below mediocre tbh but i guess it’s hard to live up to the first
only redeeming qualities for me was Benoit ofc & Madelyn Cline looking fine as s***
but how do you have Kathryn Hahn and not even utilize her

best sound/sound design (the way the flying, distant screams were constructed, the wooshing 'spaceship' noises, the constricted, squashing body noises and screams during the ingestion scene, the gushing blood being spat onto the house from above)
best score
best cinematography is a bit more of longshot for a movie like nope i think it deserves recog in that category too
especially over s*** like Empire of Light and Elvis
also best supporting actress for keke but that is even more of a longshot

I didn’t think the movie looked that great, it looked aight. Tbh I don’t think it did much award-worthy at all, it’s just a very fun summer blockbuster to me.
I hate Baz’ movies but Elvis is the superior movie in every way imo (except the supporting actor)
brian tyree nomination leading to him and aaron taylor johnson getting a bullet train origins movie yes a WINNING FOR REAL CINEMA!!
