from the reviews I've read and the vibe I got from the trailer this seems to be general consensus

but not really too hyped on best picture noms this season

really? I only remember it being panned from day one

never watched it cause the plot and trailer looked really bad and its a Netflix original on top of that

didnt watch it too because i feel i could get shocked by its awkwardness + netflix original. Yes it was primed to win best screenplay too from what i see, but it wont win anything and people are wondering why they even nominated it

Just watched CODA last night. It was pretty good and had some heartwarming moments, but I find it absolutely mind blowing that it’s the front runner to win Best Picture, let alone that it was even nominated. It truly felt like a super high quality Hallmark / Disney Channel Original movie.

I’m shocked that this is most likely to win BP, especially when people laughed at the idea of a movie like No Way Home being nominated

since they expanded to 10 i don't think there's ever been a year where i liked so few of the BP nominees.

Spielberg, PTA, Del Toro, Campion gonna be sitting in the audience watching this lifetime original movie beat them for best picture

Coda was my favorite of the year since Sundance so I'm def rooting for it. I'd be happy with Drive My Car winning as well but I doubt it will.

Anything should be able to win, nightmare alley mids by gdt standards & the power of the dog is a very ok movie nothing more

it’s not like these mfs actually reward exceptional/forward thinking smaller/indie films besides throwing a few a bone, so ANYTHING should be able to win, if the industry is gonna get behind all these OK films people are indifferent towards f*** it
