Finished Skypiea last night. It took me a while cause I sorta slowed down to avoid burnout but also because I thought the middle of the arc, when the group gets separated, was pretty slow.

But man did it pick up in those last ~10 episodes

The Shandian's being such obvious references to Native Americans was a bit odd, but I liked how Oda played with colonization with the land coming to the colonizers, instead of colonizers traveling to find new land. It was an interesting flip on how things usually go.

Seeing how everything connected to a 400 year old story was crazy. I've heard a lot about Oda's foreshadowing, so it was cool to see it in action.

Eneru was a great villain too. The second fight between Luffy and Eneru Some of the most hype s*** I've seen in any medium.

I've heard G-8 is actually pretty good filler, so that's up next.

Oda said he adds so much stuff in the panels now because there’s a lot more he wants to add to the chapters but he’s not allowed to. He can’t do as many pages as he wants so he has to clutter some panels.
