Corazon is the character that introduces the idea of the D tribe being the enemy of the celestials and Corazon's importance to Law one of the most built our parts of Law's character and he's been explicit about wanting to discover the meaning behind D./who the D tribe are...
I'm not saying Law might not be cooked but to say his development/character arc is done...

this is the perfect example of chekhovs gun. The only way I see this play out with your comment in mind is this fight is going to play out just like Ace’s did. Oda is very tricky so gonna be interesting to see how that plays out
