Kaido flashback was cool, although like i said felt like oda was cutting out quite a bit, probably waiting to show the meaty stuff for later on.
Tbh while the final punch is hype, i think it could've come earlier, or at least he could've had luffy upgrade to gear 5 closer to this chapter, because it didnt feel like it was thanks to gear 5 he beat kaido

I've been seeing people say that Oda said Luffy wasn't going to punch his way through Kaido like he does with every other villain and that's exactly what he ended up doing. So I guess that's why some people might be upset? Idk, I see so much "Oda said X or Y" that I'm not really sure what he's actually said, what was a mistranslation or what people are just making up. But yeah, being mad that Luffy beat Kaido with a punch is like being mad that Sanji kicked the s*** out of someone, that's what they do.

People take that quote and run with it. Oda said that Luffy wasn’t just going to use a strong punch to defeat Kaido.

It’s been said throughout Wano that all the attacks that went to weaking Kaido started to build up for one, then the second part is that it wasn’t just a strong punch anyway, it was a punch with CoC and Advanced CoA that does internal damage.
