Spoke with a colleague of mine that said she was vegan, but found it harder to satisfy her daily protein intake

Anyone else have this issue? Ive been thinking about integrating myself more into veganism but i need protein and iron in my diet

Extra firm tofu and tempeh. Rice and beans too. Idk how much protein you’re looking for but you could hit 100 grams easy without protein powder.

    My man

I’ve had GERD and other issues with me gut for nearly a decade now. I’m only a few months into this s*** and I honestly feel like I’m nearly cured. My reflux is virtually non-existent to the point where I nearly forget to take my meds for it.

    Life changing stuff.

    the power of plants!

Easy way is with a protein shake tbh. But also just making sure you eating a decent variety of beans, legumes, and nuts should do it. Can even bring in something that smacks with protein like setian, tempeh, tofu, or stuff like the impossible or beyond patty. As for iron, i think all plant milks are fortified with it along with other vitamins and minerals you need.

When i was tryna bulk i found myself getting almost too much iron between the milks and powders, so honestly that might be the easiest way for u.

I bet the average human in America resembles the same change.

This is a regular qualm. It’s the reason why I took so long to switch. Once you realise that the fitness industry grossly exaggerates the amount of protein you need to sell those f***ing supplements, the veil lifts from your eyes. The whole 1.5 grams per pound of body weight is absurd to me. You can easily get your protein requirements through plants.

  • Ffs. I meant rice noodles

Stupid slip from me. I can categorically confirm they were rice noodles not egg noodles ffs

Fitness industry hoodwinked me into consuming 250 grams of protein a day in my younger years. I was unhealthy as s***. Eggs, steak, bacon and chicken with protein shake on the side.

    Absurd.

  • Rice noodles much nicer than those thick ass yellow egg noodles too

    Morning kings and queens.

Wanted to share this because it’s my favourite vegan breakfast so far:

Sour dough bread, hummus, avocado, romaine lettuce, cucumber, tomato, yeast flakes (these are f***ing goated - just Google them and check the nutritional value. They also taste incredible and make any meals better), sprouted greens, red pickled onions.

Very satisfying. Loads of protein and vitamins.

    I love this vegan life

This was me in 2019 also. S***, I been wanting to do this since 2015. You need to get yourself a girl that can cook like a motherfucker and make that s*** satisfying. It’s hard when you’re used to the minimal effort that western diets provide with meat readily available packed with unhealthy flavourings and stuff. The vegan diet seems ‘unsatisfying’ in comparison with that paradigm, but I promise that this s*** is more satisfying once you get yourself ready mentally for it and have a proper grocery shop to ensure you got everything you need for snacking, meals, and light meals (vegan wraps are goated).

I can’t fail with this system I got now and with my girl beside me who also made the switch. And she can cook like Gordon Ramsay no cap. We had crispy tofu today with rice noodles, veggies and sweet and sour sauce with natural sweetener instead of sugar

    Hope you made the switch.

I did indeed bro, flourishing these days
