Wtf bro we have the same breakfast. Those pumpkin seeds are essential
The peanut butter is just heavenly with the oats and either oat milk or soy yoghurt.
My man
I use almond milk because my Wegmans has the 10g protein kind

Almond milk pretty nice too tbf. Just love those creamy oats
Just today I put in an application for a program coordinator position with the company Beyond Carnism founded by Dr. Melanie Joy btw. I dont think I'll get it but it would be such a cool job to land.
Plants really about to become a superhero lowkey

Haha idk about that! Honestly if I get the job offer tho I'm gonna be in a real pickle because I love my current job. I do great work impacting my local homeless community and it would be tough for them to find a good replacement in short order. But I'm just so committed to the animals that I think I'd have no choice but to take the position.
Also I don't think I mentioned it on KTT but I'd wanted to try mead for years but didn't because of the honey used to make it. So just before Christmas I said f*** it and made some just replacing the honey with maple syrup and adding some tannins and stuff. It came out pretty well, then I backsweetened it and it became amazing. Gave two bottles to my grandad and he just asked two days ago if I had anymore lol. I have more maple en route and then I'll make another batch. Made 6.5L in the last batch. Going to get a corker and make my own labels this time around and start aging some for a few decades

See superhero dilemmas already lol

Yo that's sick! I used to really enjoy mead around christmas time before being vegan. And you out here making your own vegan version of it that's so dope.

I'm sure it probably tastes different than it would if I used honey but man it's good af I don't mind at all. Shout out to skyrim for planting that seed to give it a go lmao

Hope to one day make the transition, feel like veganism is the future. I’m not mentally ready to do it at the moment though
This was me in 2019 also. S***, I been wanting to do this since 2015. You need to get yourself a girl that can cook like a motherfucker and make that s*** satisfying. It’s hard when you’re used to the minimal effort that western diets provide with meat readily available packed with unhealthy flavourings and stuff. The vegan diet seems ‘unsatisfying’ in comparison with that paradigm, but I promise that this s*** is more satisfying once you get yourself ready mentally for it and have a proper grocery shop to ensure you got everything you need for snacking, meals, and light meals (vegan wraps are goated).
I can’t fail with this system I got now and with my girl beside me who also made the switch. And she can cook like Gordon Ramsay no cap. We had crispy tofu today with rice noodles, veggies and sweet and sour sauce with natural sweetener instead of sugar
Hope you made the switch.
They really improved vegan cheese since I last tried to switch in 2015 btw
vegan cheese so good at this point that you can basically sub it and nobody can tell the difference
since food science is a multi-billion dollar industry I ain't surprised
"but it's natural to eat meat"
Ain't nothing natural about what is done to these animals...
Imagine eating dead animals
You know what, I’m only three months in but I’m starting to get grossed out by the idea of consuming dead flesh and organs and s***. Kinda nasty when you think about it.

Genuinely gross. We are essentially intelligent, systematic leeches. Nasty
Also, why don’t more people talk about oat milk?! Holy s***.
The one thing I was worried about before switching was not having dairy milk on my coffee and tea. How wrong I was! Oat milk is MUCH nicer and creamier. I was so shocked when my girl (who switched a week before me) made me a oat milk coffee.
so delicious and super easy to make too
that slight nutty taste and sweetness from the oats >>>>>>

Definitely top milk alternative. Prefer it to cow’s by far. I ain’t drinking from a cow’s tit again.
Also, stays fresh much longer
Morning kings and queens.
Wanted to share this because it’s my favourite vegan breakfast so far:

Sour dough bread, hummus, avocado, romaine lettuce, cucumber, tomato, yeast flakes (these are f***ing goated - just Google them and check the nutritional value. They also taste incredible and make any meals better), sprouted greens, red pickled onions.
Very satisfying. Loads of protein and vitamins.

I’ve had GERD and other issues with me gut for nearly a decade now. I’m only a few months into this s*** and I honestly feel like I’m nearly cured. My reflux is virtually non-existent to the point where I nearly forget to take my meds for it.
Life changing stuff.
