But didn't you hear? They have a really fast magic ssd that makes them more powerful regardless of specs because they said so, isn't that wonderful!!!!
Does the quarantine have you going insane dude? What’s your problem?

I know the SSD strong but I wonder how much of a difference its gonna make. Like, these are next gen console I think load times are expected to be fast af anyways, is it gonna be a night and day difference when compared to Xbox or they saving like 1 second of load time lol?

I'm obviously being sarcastic bro

People are saying it’s more than just load times, the SSD being so fast, faster than any on the market now, will change how developers make their open world games.

According to Sony, we're supposed to expect 1 second game boot up time with no load screen at any point during gameplay

Plus this but I think only exclusives will rly show this

I think it is pretty cool but it's not like Microsoft's ssd is trash by any means and all the features sony announced that there ssd brings to the table in games microsft announced the same things...if anything that fast of an ssd might be overkill not only because of diminishing returns(where talking about a max 2 sec difference for load times) but even for s*** like "pop in" and texture loading and NPC's on screen 3rd party's are still gonna have to scale down to the admittedly already fast series X anyway soooo was it really worth the trade off if 95 percent of games wont utilize the extra speed?
New Xbox can play all Xbox one games plus all bc 360 and bc original Xbox from what I’ve read.
PS5 can do 100 PS4 games? Yikes
Isn't it still whatever 360 games they decide to remaster for BC

Yup but I think it's over half at this point with more on the way as soon as there done working on the launch of the series X

To give credit where it's due, Xbox rly went all in with the console and their specs are pretty insane. After watching the Digital Foundry video tho they talk about how the direct integration between the SSD and the cpu+gpu on ps5 will be a dynamic that we can't rly predict how it will help performance. Plus the supposed added benefits of higher gpu clock.
Both systems are gonna go crazy and it's super interesting their different focuses in terms of their console architecture

Agreed bro but even still the xbox doesn't have a trash ssd and is already more powerful so I mean...this is why I made the joke about the "magic ssd that makes us the most powerful console!!!" Because untill this s*** comes out that will always be the go to excuse...the ps5 ssd is the new pym particles lol

Sony SSD is a lot better than Xbox is currently and it’s more than just loading games faster from what I’ve read. It’s better than any on the market now, what that means other than faster loading times we haven’t seen yet but we’ll definitely see with their exclusives, idk about 3rd party games though.

I totally get that it's the spin that they are going with but can anyone here tell me for sure they understand what the ssd diffrence is actually going to mean in games? Because I apprently see it meaning that playstation becomes a console where "specs dont matter it's all smoke and mirrors dont worry" if that were true why purposely bolster your tf numbers by upclocking if "tf dont mean much" hell why would the specs even matter at all? just pump thousands into the ssd if that's all it really takes.
I just do not buy it, at the very least I don't buy that the diffrence it makes compared to xbox somehow makes there specs irrelevant which seems to be the new talking point.
This all seems like a marketing spin to me.
Sony wanted to make a profit on the console at launch and this is what they came up with to do that.

Where is this talk that they overclocked to boost their tflops coming from?

I mean Microsoft showed off a video of the loading times of the Series X vs the One X and it took 15 seconds to load up the game on the new Xbox so PS5 1 sec loading is a significant difference.
The one X is more powerful the the Pro but still had worse performance and screen tearing.

9 secs down from almost a minute load time and plz tell me where you seen a playstation demo of this?
Do you mean the fast travel in spiderman? The loading screen that was already drastically less than state of decay's because it was just a fast travel as opposed to loading the entire game at start up....lol you don't have to lie to make the playstation's ssd faster, hit us with reality next time.

Bruh just watch this video youtu.be/4higSVRZlkA
Its pretty clear xbox has no significant advantage. They both do things very differently with their own advantages. You xbox boys aint winning pipe down
Next gen would legit be over if this happens I mean that's such a huge get which is why I hope it isn't true
It's legit bad for the industry if sony gets these franchises.
I mean we'll see. This might be 100 % false.
Oh and it seems like I'll wait until the PS5 Pro is out before I do get a next-generation PlayStation console.
Who gives a f*** about specs when developers gonna choose to make their games on PS5.
