I didn’t even think of this until now:

imagine all the dirt cheap ps4 games you can pick up on eBay or thrift stores or wherever and pop them in your ps5 and get the enhanced versions

PS4 game prices will be steadily dropping for the used game market while digital is at the mercy of the publisher.

Ps5 disc owners will be able to scoop up insane amounts of PS4 games that run better than they ever have and are the definitive ways to play the game

    now u get it

Start collecting everything you can now bredrin, this is going to be the last decade of physical media for video games at least

I wonder if cyberpunk will have good load times on this with it basically being a last gen game that's run on ps5. Wonder if they're making its own version for launch or it's going to be a ps4 game ran as a backwards compatible title.

Sony sacrificed 200gb of capacity to get the absolute max speed SSD they could possibly get, you gonna see great load times no matter what

IF ANYONE HAS A WALMART PRE ORDER

    • Download the Fed Ex App ASAP and make an account

Someone at Walmart f***ed up massively and shipped a ton of s*** early.

My order still says “preparing order” on Walmart’s end but I have a package showing on FedEx that’s has already began the shipping process. A lot of corroborating reports of this exact situation from the Xbox side.

Seeing games loads 40secs quicker is good enough for me.
People complaining old PS4 games still take time but that's because they haven't been patched 🤦🏽‍♂️

Found someone who's willing to trade their PS5 pre-order for my Series X preorder

Anyone else anticipating the next battlefield? I feel like DICE is going to create a masterpiece.

They need to avoid any historic wars. Give us modern days ala Battlefield 4 and I’ll be happy.

Bf4 was the most fun multiplayer FPS for me since early Halo days.

To be honest, I been thinking about this pricing a lot.

At the end of the day, games now need much more development time than games from back in the day. And there is an increasing awareness of slave labour in the gaming industry as well as an emphasis on increasing the salary of game developers and reducing crunch.

Game prices have not followed inflation every year.

I will support the industry and pay these prices for games I think are worth it. I still think 70£ is ridiculous, but the increase in price is not surprising.

I can understand the need to price them like this as they spend millions making the game however imagine being a child nowadays just getting into gaming. When I was 6/7 playing PS2 games were like £30 new so were much more affordable.

even scarier for kids who get the digital ps5 and wont be able to get used games at all

    What game was it

There's no disc in the drive.

I know it's fixable but honestly it's not worth it now.

whats the problem? if its the problem where it constantly beeps and ejects the disc then it is likely the rubber thing on the bottom of your ps4 pushing up against your eject button

that issue can be fixed by removing the rubber or moving it so its not pushing up against it or something

It doesn't beep it just won't let me insert the disc inside.

    Miles Morales review
    Metro

There’s also a second character, who we won’t name, who’s equally engaging given his moral ambiguity and his existing relationship with Miles. The last few hours in particular are hugely compelling and conclude with one of the best endings to any game this/last generation (we’re not quite sure how to aim that compliment).

"In Short: A far better advert for the PS5 than its short length and last gen assets might have suggested, with superior storytelling and more compelling characters than the original.

Pros: Highly assured storytelling and presentation, with a great villain and spectacular final act. Ray-tracing works very well amongst the skyscrapers, as does fast-loading and other next gen tricks.

Cons: The combat and stealth elements remain very repetitive and overly easy. The amount the game steals from Batman: Arkham is still outrageous.

    Score: 8/10"

    Batman: Arkham

I still don’t see how dev time is so much more than it used to be. Dev tools have only improved to help optimize and do clean coding these days. I can’t imagine developing back in the day, especially when it comes to games where you have so much more s*** involving physics that had to be done by eye and hand back then.

If anything as the games expand and the tools improve the dev time should stay within a certain time frame not go much higher or lower.
