if the digital version is significantly cheaper like i think it will be, then i might just buy it tbh
if not then imma wait a year or two to just buy the disc drive one.
Lmao to summarize, the man argument is he’s too lazy to switch a disc + he can’t afford games at launch
Moving on.
you nit picked 2 small parts of my argument but ok mr. petty
I’m not too lazy, it’s just a bonus of digital is all lol I still have Blu-ray’s that I put in my ps4 all the time but for games it’s a convenience tbh
I do buy games at launch but only if it’s something I’m excited about, otherwise I’ll just wait for a digital sale if I’m unsure about a game you know?
when yall bought your ps4 what year did you buy into it & what games did you copp alongside it?
i got mine in 2015 with Bloodborne (now my fav game oat btw), Metal Gear Solid V & Fallout 4. probably the best handful of games i got with a console, & its the first system i bought with my own money.
want my ps5 to come with some heaters too. i usually like to get 2 to 3 games with a new console.
off topic but also later down the road in 2016 i won an Xbox 1 that came with Gears 4 in a contest & copped Witcher 3 + Doom 2016 with it.
and in 2019 i finally bought a Switch with Mario, Fast RMX & Pokemon Shield.

First got mine in 2018, Persona 5 the first game I got, HZD too, also got lucky cause Bloodborne was free on PS+ a month after I copped my ps4, I slept on it for a while cause it was my first From game but now its my fav of all time
Actually my fav games happen to be the ones I got on the first year I got a ps4, which are Persona 5, Nier Automata, Bloodborne and Yakuza 0

thats a fire ass line up to start with too
i fux with the ps4 heavy af tbh. the console & its games have been really good to me.
they better have performance modes.. if not
Tbh just drop to 2160 and do 60 FPS that would be great
disagree. they wouldnt go through the effort then if its not a decent difference. the tech that runs those discs & such will get stripped thus making it cheaper.
blu ray 4k players run $150 to $300.
Nah dude a disk player for a company is $20 cuz they’re buying at bulk

sony makes its own players. that price range is from sony's brand specifically.
but that has nothing to do with the consumer. & a player tech componets is ofc not literally "$20". its more than that. this isnt dvd players, 4k blu ray is still expensive to produce & its the newest.
& idk about disc players, but consoles are always sold at a lost. so yeah. will be a difference.
doesn't make any sense manufacturing & rnd-ing wise to make a seperate console that doesn't have much difference. you would just go full steam ahead with the one if they're damn near identical in every way. its more work for them & market splitting with the way they're going with two rn, so imo it has to have an actual reason.
we'll see tho.

Right but Sony sells their current 4k disc player for $200
havent seen much talk about it specifically, but as an adult im very glad they are bringing genuine kids games back tho. outside of nintendo they were scarce last gen, & current gen they were almost non existent. the ps5 presentation had like 3 or 4 of them that look like full budget real experiences like how people round my age grew up with.
time for kids to have their own banjo kazooie, spyro, jak & daxter etc. along with Fortnite. you can have both & i think its v important within gaming, & been untapped for too long. its dope for a kids development as well.
if i had a kid i would be very hyped to copp & play some of those for my lil nigga tbh.

Got it the day MGS V came out with that, Bloodborne, and Witcher 3

ayyy, we're really close
2015 was the perfect time to come in i feel like in retrospect. 2016 to 2018 were the the highest years for ps4 imo, & & we popped up right at the beginning
bloodborne & mgsv is what made me finally hop on tho
