if you haven't heart sunny day real estate, definitely look into them. all of their albums are great but the rising tide (their newest, 2000) might be closest to what you're used to.
on the opposite end of the spectrum, antioch arrow's gems of masochism is kind of psychedelic and art punky.
also random and might not be appealing to you at all, but i remember reading that i hate sex's first ep circle thinking was inspired by nirvana's tourettes. i hate s***is a screamo band so idk how but circle thinking is amazing.
the rising tide is CRAZY been listening to it all day
u know more albums like that by other bands?
The first wave of scene revival music are started by people who were heavily influenced by bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, The Promise Ring, American Football and Cap'n Jazz, etc. It has evolved past that and most bands from 2000s hot topic/mall core stuff are heard today through these bands today.
Genres: Pop punk, Emo, Math Rock, Midwest emo, Screamo, Alternative Rock, Emo-pop, Metalcore/Melodic/Trancecore/Easycore/Nu-Metal, Post-Hardcore, Post-Rock, Indie Rock (with roots in emo/punk like Now, Now, Algernon Cadwallader or Turnover).
Also, feel free to post Dream Pop, Emo Rap, Crunkcore and Shoegaze related to the scene revival. AND feel free to post classics from 90s/00s emo/punk bands here!
Granted, I shouldn't be the one making the thread due to my little knowledge of this scene, so if you could help post new releases from these genres that would help, I will put new releases in the OP or in the title upon request.

no weatherday i’m OUT
Sarah posted Weatherday around page 2 iirc. Just because some of your favourite bands/albums aren't on the chart doesn't mean they aren't a part of the scene, that's just a starter list.
Thanks for your contribution Hogan

Bring me the horizon?
Idk which wave they fall under but you can post about them in this thread
When I was in elementary school I was hanging out at the skatepark, and George and Dallas showed up and skated with us for a couple hours then dipped. I remember when Dallas worked at West 49 too.
I met their bass player Wade a few years ago when I was at work, super nice guy too.
I remember you telling me about this on ktt1 unless there were 2 posters who were at a skatepark with the members of Alexisonfire
