The first wave of scene revival music are started by people who were heavily influenced by bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, The Promise Ring, American Football and Cap'n Jazz, etc. It has evolved past that and most bands from 2000s hot topic/mall core stuff are heard today through these bands today.
Genres: Pop punk, Emo, Math Rock, Midwest emo, Screamo, Alternative Rock, Emo-pop, Metalcore/Melodic/Trancecore/Easycore/Nu-Metal, Post-Hardcore, Post-Rock, Indie Rock (with roots in emo/punk like Now, Now, Algernon Cadwallader or Turnover).
Also, feel free to post Dream Pop, Emo Rap, Crunkcore and Shoegaze related to the scene revival. AND feel free to post classics from 90s/00s emo/punk bands here!
Granted, I shouldn't be the one making the thread due to my little knowledge of this scene, so if you could help post new releases from these genres that would help, I will put new releases in the OP or in the title upon request.

@idkICantPick I might just rename this to Joyce Manor worship thread
this actually happening damn
Seems like OP to the emo thread isn't active so I might merge their thread into this. It also encompasses all emo and pop punk which gives it more versatility
classic
I heard this album once and had mixed feelings, I gotta spin it back though
people love it

Yeah it's a very eclectic record, takes from a bunch of different genres. Is that why you like it over other midwest emo records? I'm old-fashioned so I just want bad instrumentation and shrieking vocals
calling @possum @hulk_hogan @Ithaka @Goo @liluglymane to bless the thread
don't see Everyone Everywhere in that picture

not new, but should be under the essentials I think

it just sounds youthful and energetic which for someone which is still pretty young resonates with me
but also it does more with bits of instrumental ambience which builds on the sound
tbh i havent heard much midwest emo outside of essentials
Two bands bringing back that early 2000's mall screamo/post hardcore sound
If I Die First, lead guitarist is actually Travis Richter of From First To Last

Static Dress, a new band from the UK with a few singles out

Word, yeah my friend loves that record so I definitely should pay attention. It was fun from what I remembered. And yeah there's a lot of ambient soundscapes and stuff. Even some postrock iirc.

Yeah, Lil Lotus and Lil Zubin make emo rap and Nedarb (also on guitar) is a producer who works with a lot of emo rappers.
If you want something similar, check out Saosin, they're a big influence for If I Die First

the best way to get into emo and find stuff you'll keep on heavy rotation is to find stuff not too dissimilar from what you like now. post some of ur favorite albums of any genre and i'll find some recommendations
