oh wow thats mad. i'd be down to hear what the emancipation version sounded like but got a feeling that cheap synth production style that emancipation is littered with wouldnt do it much justice. the og and final are great.

idk if i asked this before in here, but...what were yall's first prince album? mine was the black album and i think im still attached to it for that reason.

1999 my mom always played that album in the car when i was like 4-5 and i vividly remember little red corvette playing one time and looking at the big purple album cover

hehe yeah i always took a strong liking to the singles of his that i heard on the radio as a kid (1999 contained a freneticism that I never experienced from a song before and i used to anticipate & mimic every line with corresponding emotional emotes, and i would spring into dance and pantomime the violin intro during raspberry beret). but I didn't get into him till 2017 when i was 15.

lots of people got into after he died because they could actually seek out his music and find it
