man Prince's discog from For You-Batman is UNTOUCHABLE. man's lived and breathed music, it was just flowing through him. obviously he had a crazy work ethic, and put in alot of time and work, but I feel like a good amount of what he had was God given.

Dream Factory could've been something special if he followed through with that Miles Davis influenced harmony. Ballad of Dorothy Parker, Power Fantastic, Visions, Colors. Just needed 4-5 more songs in this vain and he would've had an all timer imho.

Glad we got SOTT and everything turned out the way it did though, don't think any iteration of Dream Factory or even Crystal Ball comes close to the final product we got.

Prince is very varied for me. He experiments a lot so there's a lot I don't like, which isn't typical for me because i'll generally just disapprove of whole projects depending on their era, whereas with Prince i'll find alot of super great songs i always go back to

they're not really experiments in the "experimental"/pushing the envelope sense, but for example i just dont enjoy the upbeat songs on Purple Rain all that much due to the instruments/arrangements or whatever, yet on other hand I'll like something such as Kiss or Raspberry Beret
