yeah doubt they make that same mistake again with the 5080 but who knows for sure

yeah will be interesting to see what comes out next year

I think we’ll see a ton of mid range GPUs once 6000 and 40 series sell out

4080ti seems like a sure bet now that AMD has 2 GPUs in that giant gap Nvidia left

a 4080ti could be a good buy if it’s priced reasonably but Nvidia isn’t known for that 😂

Yeah I am sure that they're very aware of that as that would make a lot of people at least consider switching to AMD... But I think they got it so far

True... That would be smart idea and is good for those looking at GPU's with a affordable price as these prices so far for the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 are too much at the moment :/

Yes gotta be... I just wonder how much better than a RTX 4080 it will be and how it's compared to the RTX 4090 for example and whatever AMD will offer in 2023

Lmfao true... This thing won't be under $1400 - $1500 for sure

@Nil Right now? No... But it will be in 2023-2024 for sure

it's better, prices aren't even terrible anymore but the motherboards that use DDR5 are very expensive, that's the issue.. a cheap DDR5 stick is gonna be better than the most expensive DDR4 stick

only reason I'd go DDR5 is if you think you'll keep that motherboard longer than 2-3 years cause prices will come down and you'll be able to get crazy fast RAM for cheap

imo I'd just buy a nicer GPU with that money and go DDR4 but I'm not much into future proofing

yeah I imagine the 4080ti is gonna be a lot better than the 4080 if Nvidia wants it to compete with the 7900XTX but who knows for sure

yeah will be interesting to see how Nvidia's sales are after the hype has died down

If you have a Microcenter near you they've been running crazy deals these past few weeks, but otherwise prob no.

If you have the money you could splurge, but I'm expecting them + mobo's to drop in prices by next year. You can pick up DDR4 32gb for like $100 right now.

I've been Team Red on GPU's since like 2016 AMD's always been in the cards

Just that Windows 11 has been pissing me off like crazy this year, and I heard AMD's doing an incredible job with drivers on Linux. Thought f*** it and might just try daily driving it for at least a bit.

It should be yes... Especially if they don't do 2 versions of it hopefully. But I could see more people picking it until the RTX 4090 is cheaper and more worth it that's unless there will be a RTX 4090 Ti and it won't be even worse in price including what it can do as asking for a higher than expected price and then AMD having something as strong or something close to that will hurt Nvidia so I hope that there are prepared for what's come to in 2023!

I hope not it's too bad tbh as that might lead to them maybe not doing something more than a RTX 5080 and RTX 5080 Ti in the future... I think the RTX 3090, RTX 3090 Ti and RTX 4090 are worth been there so far but do hope they'll do a better job starting with RTX 4090 Ti (If there will be one) and then also around the time a RTX 5090 is out which I imagine will happen in 2024. I think it'll be a good surprise for me and people who will build a PC in 2024, 2025 etc. if Nvidia has some good surprises in 2-3 years from now

yeah we will see what next year brings already rumors about a 4070ti & 4080ti bubbling up

I think Nvidia would still make the 5090 if there is less hype they might just charge a more fair price like $1200 and maybe they'll make it a normal size so the cost to produce is way lower

Would honestly be a great card if it wasn't for the insane price point.

That power draw is genuinely impressive.

yeah for now i wonder how these are selling in 6 months tho we will see

normally first few months stock is low and hype is high

if it wasn’t for the last 2 years i don’t think prices would be this high

they sell for $600-$659 on ebay and come with a 90 day warranty from failure per ebay policy

so yeah I wouldn't pay more than $525 for one in person with cash

    seems good
