Hdmi port is bad on the asrock 570. Switched to dvi and works fine but I was extremely heated when I saw this
How did you HDMI port mess up?
F***, I used to always switch the port on my GPU when streaming since I only had one cable.

f***ed up on gpu out the box
Wow. So that's Day 1 with it?
yep soon as i booted it up yesterday after connecting all power and data cables in order to POST
took a good minute to post and then i was met with the asus motherboard splash screen with that green artifact mess.
i swapped to the dvi port on the card and used my dvi to hdmi cable and worked like normal
its a good card but Asrock are new to making gpus so im not surpised by having quality problems tbh
i tried using their gpu overclock software too and the standard overclock preset crashed the system smh

Damn.
Use MSI Aferburner for GPU overclock.
I use it to downclock mines a little since it's a closed system and the temps are high.

Did you use another HDMI cable? Sometimes the cable can be defective.

na i used my dvi cable instead but imma do that right now to confirm
edit: well i be damned. its the cable but how the f*** does it work with my 560 and not the 570
thats why i assumed the port was bad cause i know the cable was good
i just put the original cable on my xbox and it works just fine there too

I knew it would be the cable. It's happened to me a couple of times where the HDMI cable just craps out. Some times I just keep plugging it back in and it fixes itself.

hey guys! so I was able to build this successfully earlier in the week and everything has been well :) but one of the RAM sticks isn't being picked up ):
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB)
When I had it in DIMMA2 it wasn't reading it and it was telling me to put the stick I had in DIMMB2 into DIMMA2, when I switched them it wasn't giving me any issues but it wasn't reading the stick I had in DIMMB2 (which is the one that wasn't being read).
Anything else I can do to troubleshoot or should I look into purchasing a new one? And if so, what are my options for buying a new one? Thanks a ton in advance!

honestly im not that experienced so i wouldn’t know how to help, have you tried pc build subreddits? if all else fails it wouldnt be hard to find another compatible stick because theyre everywhere.

This happened to me when I upgraded my GPU.

Make sure they are in every other port first (your manual will tell you specifically which ones to start at).
Make sure you aren't overclocked. Just keep reseating. Mines have to be reseated sometimes when I physically change things in my system.
BIOS will tell you which DIMM isn't being read from.

I hear Asrock has some nice higher end Motherboards but I've had had nothing but bad luck with their stuff
I've only ever owned cheaper mobos tho
