i dont feel buyers remorse but i agree the performance for the third party games is absolutely unacceptable especially this early into its lifespan

I just bought Madden 26, despite the poor reviews for the switch 2. It’s one of the third party games I’ve been looking forward to the most, so I’m willing to be disappointed here.

Best case scenario, it turns out to be a decent time handheld (which is how I plan to play mostly).

Worst case, I wasted $70 which I will get back and likely forget about throughout the course of my life lol

Who knows, maybe EA will surprise us and release a patch that smooths things out. Some people said the day 1 patch helped a bit

Yeah I’d say watch some gameplay videos if you haven’t and see if it works for you if it performs at it worst

I will say, Madden actually looks and plays pretty well compared to what I’ve expected/what I saw in gameplay videos

It’s still 30fps which sucks, but it’s a lot smoother than I anticipated.

So with my ~30 mins it it so far, I’m not really disappointed in my purchase haha. Gonna check out handheld in a bit

Yeah it plays pretty well in handheld mode too. Honestly turning into being pretty happy with the purchase lol

I got FC 25 for switch and it was fun but I only ever found 2 matches online lol

Yeah this is a huge L for FC 26 on S2. The switch 1 is a different version of the game so if it's Switch 2 players only..even 2 matches might be a push

No unfortunately no cross play. Huge L but I’m super casual in madden so I don’t play online anyway

FYI you can buy the switch 1 port of Hogwarts legacy for 14 and upgrade to the switch 2 port for 10 more. Pointing this out because if you outright buy the switch 2 port it’s like $40

CBD Projekt Red was going wizardy in the switch 1 so it corny surprise me they have a f*** to put effort into the switch 2 port. I have no faith in devs like EA to make solid ports. I’m surprised 2K actually delivered with WWE port being solid

Hopefully more 3rd parties don’t realize this is happening with their switch 1 to switch 2 games. This was a thing when switch2 first dropped and I thought they would catch it but it’s on sale again and it’s the same thing
